Bmw 5 Series Cd Changer Stuck

Hell of a place for that CD player to be right next to the cup holders. The grese on the moving parts seems to go sticky over time.

Bmw 5 series cd changer stuck. Iv Tryd this again but. The stereo needs to be on. Your best bet is to remove the Changer and take it into a Car Audio Repair Shop and have them take a look at it.

I think the dealer has a special plastic tool to do this you can try pushing the cassette in whilst pressing the button or try slipping a credit card under the cassette and pressing the buttonthere is the other way of taking the unit out and removing the cover and doing a manual release but Ive only done this on an e38 so not sure on yours. The cd player will either put the cd back in and do a cd check again or spit the magazine back out with a disc. Otherwise theres not much else for it other than to dismantle all the trimcarpet and remove the CD changer to replace it for another one 50ish off eBay or on here but not recommended cos itll just end up the same way.

Hi Had a similar problem. If the changer is totally dead check the CD Changer fuse. I had this problem last year and solved it by removing the fuses for the cd changer which I think are 741 and it reset itself and was fine.

It is a internal CD Changer Problem there is no way to get them out unless you dissassemble the Changer. It appears as though the CD1 slot is jammed in position stopping it from opening. I made a little video of it.
